Created and sponsored “Energy by Example” awards to promote energy efficiency in building by awarding four energy audits to Hawaii State Capitol, Farrington High School, University of Hawaii/Saunders Hall, and Young Laundry; which became the catalyst for DAGS, DOE & UH efforts in energy audits and recommissioning buildings (Aug 2006)
